Carpet Installation
Berber carpet tiles are some of the most widely known interior design accessories today, at least as far as what they are and how well they fit in so many types of home and office décor. However, very few people actually know where Berber carpet tiles come from. They were named after the Berber tribe in Northern Africa. The tribe was well known for making carpet out of a very textured and bulky type of wool yarn. Today, that yarn survives, and is infused with lots of bright colors and the same strength that makes it a versatile and durable choice for carpeting on any floor. There are several reasons you should choose Berber carpet tiles over any other type of carpet in the marketplace.
First of all, Berber carpet tiles are made with a yarn that is flecked and looped back and forth through the backing. This provides it with more give and more of a soft surface that’s easier on the feet. There are multiple colors in the yarn, making for very intricate designs and overall a pleasing sight. The loops can be chosen in different sizes. If you want your Berber carpet to have large loops, it makes for a soft, furry look. Smaller loops create a more conventional-appearing carpet, but still maintain that exotic look that Berber is well known for.
Another advantage to berber tiles over other types is that the tiles are made of a type of material that doesn’t allow the breeding of harmful bacteria. It has many air pockets that make it a comfortable and breathable material, as well as being a type of insulator. This helps to regulate the temperature of the room. The temperature of a room can determine how many bacteria will be able to live in that particular environment. The best way to make sure the room is healthy is to keep it at low humidity. Berber tiles, unlike other types of carpet, won’t as easily maintain moisture.
