Amsterdam Visit

Sorry for not being available for a while. Was visiting Amsterdam with a couple of friends. Let me give you a jist.

Most people who visit Amsterdam rarely go beyond the arched bridges, damp corridors and canal houses in the charming city center. But equally fascinating is region around the port and previously inhospitable areas between the historic center and the ring road (A10). These pockets of innovation – promoted by young designers and entrepreneurs are worth being known. To exploit them, get a mountain bike and start exploring.

Take a cozy space with an open kitchen in the neighborhood of promising Westerpark, that combines culinary trends with club dinner. Part restaurant and part workshop, it was opened two years ago by Marjolein Wintjes Meursing and Eric, a former designer and chef. Every two weeks, they create a theme that inspires dishes, such as Light or flowers, then serve a five-course meal that focuses on seasonal vegetables and fruit and grains.
